Tuesday, February 3, 2026, is a special date for grassroots democracy in Minnesota. That evening, DFL precinct caucuses are held state-wide and are open to all Democrats. These voter-driven meetings are a great way to get involved in the democratic process and make your voice heard—even if you’ve never been to a political meeting before.
When: February 3, 2026; registration starts at 6:30 pm. Each precinct caucus convenes at 7:00 pm.

What: Many exciting things happen at a precinct caucus meeting. Resolutions! If you want, you can write out a Resolution to address some issue you feel needs attention or change in the State DFL's Action Agenda. At the meeting, you can offer it for consideration to other attendee then everyone votes on whether to advance it to the Beltrami County DFL convention for further consideration. Delegates! You will have the opportunity to run to be elected a delegate to two separate conventions: (1) Beltrami County DFL Convention (March 21, 12 pm; Redby, MN): elect delegates to the Congressional District 8 Convention and to the State DFL Convention. Also elect Directors to serve on the Beltrami County DFL Executive Committee. (2) DFL MN Senate District 2 Endorsing Convention (April 18, 12 pm; Redby, MN): vote whether to endorse a candidate for MN Senate District 2 Senator and a candidate for House District 2A or 2B.
